When the decision was clear that we would be moving to College Station, we decided to make an effort to do more "city things" before we moved. We LOVE Dallas, and frequently made the 20-minute journey there from Rockwall. This was the first time, though, that we went to the Dallas Zoo since we had moved to Rockwall in 2009.
Luke's favorite part was the monkey exhibits. I think it was my favorite part, too.
I think this was the last time we used the double stroller. Luke was getting too big for it, and Jack will be almost three before baby #3 gets here, so we sold it to a consignment store.
I had to take this picture, in honor of my favorite ministry.
The picture above was taken at the reptile exhibit. Luke was using my phone there at one point to take a picture of some giant lizard. All of a sudden, the lizard lunged forward toward the glass. I have never heard Luke scream that loud. He was terrified, so we had to leave the reptiles pretty quickly.
Here is one crazy-looking bird:
We rode the train around to see some cool things. Notice Jack's poor chapped mouth and cheeks. His skin gets this way in the winter sometimes...dry skin, eczema...poor buddy.
Luke loved being way up high on the train.
The Giants of the Savanna Exhibit. It was pretty impressive!
I could have sworn that this giraffe knew I was taking his picture. I held the camera up, and he looked right at me. As soon as the camera was down, he looked away.
Luke had some major hat-hair going on. (He had been wearing a beanie)
On the way to the car...they were ZONKED. Fun, fun day at the zoo!
