Birthday Party #2

I wasn't going to have a birthday party for Luke this year because I figured Disneyland and an upcoming mini-party with Greg's family would be plenty. But, Luke kept asking for a Lightning McQueen birthday party with his friends. Finally, I caved, knowing it would just be a good excuse to get our friends together for an evening, too. The best time we could do it was Good Friday. We wanted to keep it very small, because our house gets crowded very quickly. So, we invited only 5 friends. Well, only 2 were able to come, due to illness and being out of town for Easter. Andie-girl and Landon, our next door neighbor and sweet friend came, and it was PERFECT. So laid back...just right for us!

Party favors
Decorations (there is so much Lightning McQueen stuff out there...it's easy to find stuff!)
Guess the Number of Cars game for the adults. This was fun! Aaron M. won a Target gift card for getting the closest number. I'm certain that gift card went straight into the hands of his wife, Haley, the Target-a-holic, though. :)
The cake...Tom Thumb again. YUMMY!
Luke could not keep his hands off this cake once he saw it. It's a good thing it was covered. He was fascinates with how colorful it was. So cute!
This was so sweet. He stood here for a long time, just waiting for his little friends to come play.
My sweet 3-year-old!
Playing on Landon's "bouncy bounce house". The weather was perfect, so this was a blessing to borrow for the party. The kids had a blast.

Andie and Baby Reid playing
Jackaroo - he looked like a little old man this night!

Scarlett and Baby Will
"Mr. Aaron" and Baby Reid

Happy Birthday! Not sure why he already has red frosting on his cheek when the cake hasn't even been cut. Hmmm...

Working on their painting craft -
Baby Reid got pretty sleepy. Sweet thing.
Opening fun presents!
We are so thankful for these two sweet families, which both live on our street! We have such great relationships with both of them. I also love that Luke doesn't care about how many friends come over. He just has fun with anyone and everyone. I hope he stays like that forever!
