Winter ONE-derland!

We had a fun little birthday party for our one-year-old! It's a hard time of year for a party...people are Christmas-ed out and out of town. But, we wanted to celebrate our little guy anyway, and we had a blast!

I decided on a snowman/snowflake theme. We had an adorable invitation, but I decided against posting a picture of it because it had our address on it. I'm trying to avoid posting that on here.

My parents were here, which was a huge help in preparation. Let me tell you, I had a BLAST decorating for this party more than any other. I think this is because I had a specific theme to go by, which was F-U-N! Christmas and winter decorations go on clearance immediately after Christmas, so we waited until then and got some incredible deals on snowman-y things.

These were the party favors. Cute little mugs with hot chocolate and marshmallows.
This decoration was so easy...simply hanging ornaments from the chandelier.
The food table -
The cake table -
Cake from Tom Thumb bakery - it was the best cake I've ever had...seriously!
The before picture of his cake -
I found a recipe for snow punch - it was fun to make and YUMMY.
I picked out my favorite pictures of Jack and decorated the bar with them -
Close-up of some of the photos -
Hot chocolate bar!
The mantle - the hanging snowflakes lit up -
The snowman cookie decorating/picture frame coloring table. This was a hit!
Another easy ornament decoration -
Hard workers decorating cookies/picture frames -

The birthday boy with his Papa -
Our sweet niece Maddie -
Cousin Mack working on his cookie -
I think Luke liked the frosting more than any decorating!
Aunt Stacie & Jack -
Waiting for the cake -

Dig in! This was hilarious - he started out with tiny bites, but ended up with HUGE handfuls of cake. He LOVED it and was a complete mess! Both of my boys love their cake!

YUM - MY!
Luke saw several people taking videos/pictures of Jack, so Luke stole the show. He said, "I'll be riiiiight back! I'm going to go get my camera to take pictures of Jack!" He came back with a plastic cup and pretended to take pictures of Jack. So stinking funny!

I love this picture of my great friend Katie and her FIANCE!, Wes, looking on -
Luke couldn't resist - gotta have some of that icing!

Priceless.
The clean-up afterward. Thanks, Nana!
Jack made a new buddy, Carter!

They look like little old men here. I love it!
Our wonderful neighbor, Haley, with Baby Reid. Poor Big Brother Landon wasn't feeling great that day.
Greg chatting with one of his best buds, Marshall.
Sweet Katie with Sweet Jack -
Jack checking out his new tricycle!
It ended up being BEAUTIFUL outside, so the kids played in the driveway. What fun!
Mack running us all down in his John Deere tractor! -
Happy Birthday, Jack Ryan! We love you and had fun celebrating YOU!

okay, so can I steal your party theme?! So precious. Although it's a year away, I think it would be great for Lawson's first party...winter birthdays are harder, I think. Just b/c you're pretty limited to the indoors. anyways, GREAT job on the party. and happy (belated) birthday Jack.
