Little Drummer Boys

Since our previous visit to Orange County in August 2010, my sister had moved from the OC to Murietta, California after she got a new job there. Her boyfriend, Jules, lives nearby. One of the highlights of our trip this time was getting to see her new apartment. She bought a little box of toys for them to play with there - so sweet! We played, ate lunch, then Luke got to swim with her and Jules while Jack napped.

Later that afternoon, we made a quick trip to Jules' house to surprise the boys. Jules is a professional drummer, and he has a studio in his house with a few drum sets. So, he let the boys have a little drumming session! If you know my boys, you know that they love music, songs and instruments of any kind. They got musical genes from their talented daddy (who can pick up almost any instrument and make beautiful music). Jack, especially, is fascinated with drums. Needless to say, they had a fabulous time! Please excuse the number of pictures below; there were too many good ones to choose from!

Jules & Jack drummin' away! He actually has very good rhythm!

Daddy might have had more fun than the boys. He LOVES drums. Something tells me there will be a drum set in our home in the near future.
Then, Luke was able to learn from the pro:

Jules & Greg had a little drum playing session together, which got pretty loud...

I love it!

Then, Jack found a ukalale and was thrilled to wear it around the house. Funny thing is that he kept clapping and singing instead of playing it. He takes things like this so seriously. Cracks me up!
Jules, Luke, "Aunt Nellie" and Jack!

Thanks for spending so much time with us and letting us bombard your houses and drum studio, Andrea and Jules. We love you, and the boys STILL talk about this fun day!
