What we've learned about Luke is that he is actually pretty athletic, but it has to be on his terms. He is cautious and doesn't like fighting for the ball. So, he had very little time actually with the ball. He might be more of a non-contact-sport kind of guy, like his momma. (tennis, swimming, baseball, etc.) But, he definitely wins the award for having the most fun, which is all we care about. He was so cute running back and forth on the court, following everyone else just smiling. Sweet boy!
I always had sore abs after the games because it was just so funny. Dribbling is optional. Half the kids are in La-La Land. They just yank the ball from each others' hands. Then, half of them cry when the ball is taken away from them. So funny! A few times, the coach cleared the way for Luke to actually get a shot in, but he couldn't even make it up there. That's a big ball for such a little guy! What he was really good at was passing the ball accurately. I was impressed.
Here is Coach Sarah practicing dribbling with him:
The last night, they had a pizza party. This was actually the first time I'd seen him eat a piece of cheese pizza. He's my carnivorous child.
Jack was so cute this night. He seemed like he just needed security because there was so much going on around him. So, he just calmly sat by Big Brother almost all night.
