Crazy about Thomas

Luke has been somewhat obsessed with Thomas & Friends lately. Can you tell?

Also, when I looked online at the Thomas section of Toys R Us...HOLY COW! There is a ton of stuff! My mom has given him several trains/tracks, but it was overwhelming for me just browsing through it all. Also, it's EXPENSIVE!

Any 2-year-old creative Christmas gift ideas would be appreciated!

P.S. - More posts soon, including HAWAII!!

I'm glad he likes Thomas, because Zane is terrified of him. I think its the way the eyes shift back and forth on the trains in the older show versions. In fact anytime the theme song to Thomas comes on he starts crying and hides behind my legs.

caleb loves thomas too... his b/day party this weekend is all thomas! ebay has way cheaper thomas accessories. buy new trains and old tracks! also, we went to CVS (sounds weird) and got caleb a great fireman hat for a buck! they have a veggie tales video at target for $5. and when all else fails go to tuesday mornings or marshalls for some really great toys!

miss you and merry christmas!

John loves the brio tracks but they're also expensive. The imaginarium brand (of Toys R Us) of tracks fits the brio and there are thomas trains that go on these tracks - you don't have to have the thomas ones. There are battery thomas trains and non battery ones that all go on the cheaper imaginarium brand. Hope this makes sense. Have fun!! CHOO CHOO!! :)

(BTW - we're moving back to Texas the end of Jan!! We're looking at jobs in the DFW area. I'd LOVE to get the kids together to play! :)

I haven't looked but I would def say you could find some Thomas stuff on ebay or craig's list. it's so expensive but holds up well that I don't see any reason to have to pay full price. All of our Thomas stuff has been passed down through the family...used time and time again, but of course Preston never knew the difference! :)

we recently went to a little birthday celebration for a 2 year old and Dave decided to make a play house for the little boy out of big cardboard boxes.... it was the gift of the night... the little boy played in it the rest of the party. Instead of making a playhouse, you guys could make your own Thomas the Train that he could play in... I can just see him now conducting his train! You could even make 2 or 3 cars behind it to store his toys in as he goes down the track. Get some temper paint and paint it like Thomas... I bet he would love seeing this by the tree on Christmas morning... Oh, I want to do this too now... I have to wait a couple of years though!
