Swimming

This summer, we put Luke into swimming lessons through the City of College Station. It was very inexpensive, so we honestly didn't know what to expect. The first day, he was afraid to put his face in the water. By the end of the second week, he was much more confident and loving being under water, so we put him in for another session. We were so impressed with the program. The teachers are college-aged and go through a lot of training. Along with the teachers are high school-aged assistants. So, basically, there was a 1:2 ratio teacher/student ratio. By the end of the second session, Luke was swimming under water, floating on his stomach, floating on his back and jumping in the water. We had been praying for courage with him, and we were so proud. Now, swimming is probably his favorite activity ever, and he misses it now that it's too cold.

I just wanted to post this picture to show you that happy face. He loved every minute of the lessons.

Swimming! He does actual strokes. We are so impressed:

Jack enjoyed watching his big brother. Next year, we will put him in for sure.
My happy little fish! Nothing makes a Mommy happier than seeing your child overcome fear and accomplish something that's HUGE for them. Proud of you, Luke!
