We had a wonderful Easter, just weeks after we moved in. We had a great service at church celebrating our Savior's resurrection. Of course, the boys also had small Easter baskets, but, again, the pictures didn't save on our camera (it was on that weird setting).
After church, we took some pictures in our neighborhood. We have a beautiful pond area with a fountain that the boys love.
Because of the water and the boys curiosity and energy level, it ended up being a pretty stressful (and windy!) little photography session! They were running wild, and we were just as active trying to keep them out of the water.
Look at this sweet profile! One of my all-time favorite pictures of Jack.

I love these pictures of Greg & Jack:
Then, we took a quick trip to the park:
Our neighbors invited the boys over for an Easter egg hunt mid-afternoon. They were the youngest kids there by several years, so they got lots of attention. (and lots of candy!)
Greg and I spent much of the day making our yummy Easter dinner. One of my goals as a mom is to make holidays special for my family, no matter if we are celebrating as just our family, extended family, friends, etc. I believe it glorifies God and celebrates Him even more if there is planning and time involved in making it special. So, Greg and I planned a delicious homemade meal. It took time, but it was really fun to do it together, and the result was DELICIOUS!
Ham cooked in homemade brown sugar glaze, scalloped potatoes, broccoli and cauliflower casserole, salad, homemade biscuits...mmmmm!
And, of course, apple crumb pie for dessert...
...which was this boy's favorite part!
Love my risen Savior, love my family. This is what memories are made of. I'm so blessed.
