Jack is TWO!

Our sweet Jack turned two years old on New Year's Eve. On his first birthday, we were in Urgent Care because he had a nasty virus. This year, I was in Urgent Care because I had strep throat. Not how I envisioned spending his birthday, but we still tried to make it special.

We returned from Tahoe the night before his birthday, and Greg had decorated the house with streamers, balloons and stars. Jack is fascinated with the night sky, especially the stars and the moon. Such a sweet-hearted daddy to make him feel celebrated.

The next morning, this was our first glimpse of our 2-year-old:

We threw balloons in his bed, sang Happy Birthday, and, of course, Big Brother wanted to join him! (Bed-head and all!)

Still pretty sleepy -

Bounce time!

Later that evening, we celebrated with some yummy cake (made by Tom Thumb!) Luke was ready!

His cute moon and stars cake. So yummy!

Hooray for cake!

Happy birthday to Ja-ack!

Blowing

Look at that face - ready to dive in!

You thought "messy baby eating a birthday cake" photos were just for one-year-olds? I did too. Until I saw Jack. Forks just became too slow for the yummy cake goodness.

The look of approval:

Workin' that fork!

This became a much more efficient way to eat...doggy style.

Nom nom nom.

I think there's still more!

Luke thought Jack was hilarious!

Maybe the plate has turned to cake?

Last lick -

Yummy milk to wash it down:

Blowing his nose. He definitely had lots of blue icing in his nose!

Happy birthday, sweet Jack. We love you to the moon and back!

**We later had a birthday party for him at Greg's parents' house in Tyler with family and a few dear friends from Tyler. It was so much fun and couldn't have gone any better. I did forget my camera, and I will post pics as soon as I get them off of my in-laws' camera.
