Father's Day (a little late!)

Father's Day happened to fall on the day after we returned from our California trip. I had to be at church early that morning to observe in the children's ministry where I will soon be teaching kindergarten. So, Greg and the boys were able to stay at home and play...good Daddy time!

That evening, we went to a local Mexican food restaurant to celebrate Greg. Needless to say, it was pretty stressful. It takes a few days for Luke and Jack to adjust after a trip, so they were tired (especially Jack). He was being such a disruption inside, that Greg and I ended up just having to take turns with him outside while the other stayed inside and ate with Luke. It was H-O-T that day, too, so we were both sweating by the end of the meal. Oh, the joys of eating out with a 17-month-old! :) One day, we will be able to eat at a restaurant in peace, but I'm sure we will miss it being so crazy!

Before we left to eat, I tried to snap a few pictures of Daddy with the boys. "Tried" is the key word. I wanted to include all of the attempts, just because it's pretty amusing. Am I the only mom that struggles with getting good pictures of my kids? The first one might be my favorite because of Greg's face!

This one is a keeper:

In all seriousness, my boys don't yet realized what a gift they have in their daddy. He is loving, fun, patient, goofy, creative, selfless...I could go on and on. More than anything, though, he is teachable and seeks the Lord's wisdom in raising his kids. I know that God honors that, so I can't wait to see what he'll be like even next year on Father's Day! We love you, Daddy!
