"Daddy! Da-da! Daddy! Da-da! Daddy!......"
Greg's office is open later hours than any of his previous ones. On Tuesdays, it doesn't close until 6, sometimes putting him home at 7, sometimes even 8. His only complaint with those hours is that he can't spend as much time with the boys as he would like to. Sweet daddy!
One of my favorite things about my wonderful husband is that he never complains. I know his office works him harder than he's ever worked. I called the office last week to speak to him for a minute, and he had FIVE patients waiting on him! Can you imagine?? He is under a lot of pressure to stay busy there, so my goal is to make our home welcoming to him, not another place to feel pressure. Am I always successful? Absolutely not! But, I am a work in progress. ;)
Sometimes I feel myself wanting to throw the boys at him when he comes home and have a little "me" time. He ALWAYS allows me to do that...even though he would probably like some time to himself just as much. Slowing down isn't an option for him; he comes home, changes into play clothes, and is immediately on the ground or outside playing with them. What a servant-hearted, amazing treasure God blessed me with in Greg. I learn from him every day, and I know the boys do as well.
Here are some sweet pictures of one of his late nights home. (Luke was already in his pajamas.) Right when he walked to the door, he and Luke headed straight to the tent. So sweet!
Nothing beats reading Thomas in the tent with Daddy!
