It's Been a While...

Holy Cow! I just realized that is has been almost 2 months since I have blogged! Wow...that will not happen again. A lot has happened in 2 months, and the majority of it was spent with no internet access. As amazing as my iPhone is, it's a little hard to create blog posts on it.

To catch up on the Melton's:
- After much prayer, traveling all over Texas, researching and looking into openings all over the country, seeking the advice of many of our friends, and more prayer...Greg has decided to work in Rockwall.
- I grew up in Rockwall, although I currently have no family here. (They moved to the OC when I was a freshman at A&M.) I feel like I am starting over here because everything is so different.
- Greg started his job with SmileWorks Dentistry toward the end of June. He commuted, stayed with friends, or in a hotel for a couple of weeks. Then, we were able to get a rental house and moved in on July 1st.
- Greg is really enjoying his job, and is especially enjoying the dentist he is working with, Clay Ainley. God had to uproot us and replant us (Ecclesiastes 3:2). We are already seeing some of the fruit that is bringing Him more glory by us being here. It was not a fun process, but we understand even more now that He is sovereign and knows what is best for us, for Him!
- Our house happens to be on the SAME STREET as one of my best friends, Scarlett. I have known her since first grade, and we lived together all 4 years in college. Her daughter, Andie, was born the day before Luke, and she is due with little Will in October. How amazing is God to allow our lives to parallel so closely! Luke loves Andie...they are so cute playing together. He always says, "Mommy, I want to see Andie. I go give her a big hug." So sweet!
- The majority of our "lifelong friends" live in the DFW metroplex...so FUN!
- We miss our Tyler friends, family and church. We are looking forward to meeting new people and connecting with another small group here in Rockwall.
- I have already been able to connect with more neighbors more than I ever did in Tyler. It's really neat to have so many little kids. They are always outside playing. I love this. Our next-door neighbors are amazing believers. They have 2 little boys that are 21 months apart, just like our 2. One of them is a teensy weensy 2-week-old. Another neighbor has 2 little boys the same age as Luke & Jack, and their names are Jack & Luke. Crazy!
- There is SO MUCH to do here. This town really caters to young families. Being a stay-at-home-mom, I am so thankful for this.
- We are praying hard that our house in Tyler sells quickly.
- Luke & Jack have done so well through this transition. They are so much fun.

I have hundreds of pictures that I need to upload to my computer. Then, I will start the posts with what you really care about...pictures of them! :) Thank you for your support and prayer through this time. Here are a few things we would love for you to join us in prayer about:

1. Pray that Greg's job/business would continually grow and that new patients will keep coming!
2. Pray for Greg's relationship with Dr. Ainley. They are really hitting it off so well, and there is a lot of potential for future partnership.
3. Pray for Greg's heart and confidence.
4. Pray or our house to sell quickly for the right price.
5. Pray for the relationships we are already building with non-believers.
6. Pray that we would connect quickly at church and with a small group.
7. Pray for our marriage and relationships with the boys as we transition to a new chapter of life.

We would love to know how we can be praying for you, too!

Stay tuned for some cute posts about some cute little boys.

That means that we are neighbors, too. We are on Potter! I saw Greg's picture on the front of the magazine (can't remember which one-?Living Mag?) and was excited to know you were headed back to Rockwall! I can't drive, but please let me know if you ever need anything. Glad to have you back!

Yea, you're not too far from me!! I have a sweet friend who lives in Rockwall and we meet all the time in Garland at the "Firewheel town center" (it's a good middle spot) - I'd LOVE to see you sometime - but I also know you're busy getting settled. Praise God for his faithfulness - even when the molding and sharpening are not fun. It's exciting to read your story and see how the Lord is at work in your lives. :)

So wild how you have come full circle in living back in Rockwall. I hope the transition has been okay! Moving is so hard! Like you said, Rockwall has so much to offer, especially young families. and what a blessing to have friends nearby!

Wow! It seems like just yesterday y'all were here visiting, but look at how much has happened since then! I'm glad things are going so well! Y'all will continue to be in our prayers. And since y'all didn't move down here, you'll just have to come visit again soon! By the way, you left Jack's pacifier here. I'll try to mail it to you soon!
