He measured right on his due date, which is still January 7.
We were/are so excited that it's a boy; I think we both wanted Luke to have a brother. Lord-willing, we will probably not stop after 2, so we still have a chance to have a little girl. (Although a handful of boys sounds pretty fun, too!) Yesterday, I was telling Greg about some matching pajamas I found for Luke and the baby, and I called them "the boys". That was really fun for me...I love my boys!
As for names, we just aren't sure yet. We have a few possibilities: Jack, Samuel, Truett, Hudson and Jake are just a few of the names we like, but it shifts day to day. We will let you know when we have selected a final name.
Many of you know that we are trying to sell our house and have a contingency offer on another house in Tyler that better meets our growing family's needs. So, it's been hard for me to be patient and not get carried away planning a nursery...I don't even know where we will be living! We could definitely make it work living here, but it's just not as ideal. We will see...we know that if it doesn't sell, then this is exactly where the Lord wants us to live!
Luke is a little confused and just points to his belly button when we ask where the baby is. I don't think he has a concept of having a little brother. But, he has seen us around other babies and is very gentle with them, so we are just praying for a smooth transition in January.
Here are a few pictures from the sonogram. He's already so handsome! :)
The first couple are profile shots.
He was sucking on his hand here. His cute little left hand.
One of his legs. I love this one!

So fun to read about. Love all the names, but am a little partial to Truett, being that it's Preston's middle name! ;)
Congrats! Boys are fun! I was excited to find out that we are signed up for the same Bible study. Looking forward to seeing you!
wow! i have a favorite name out of the list, but I don't want to jinx it. :) "The boys." So cool.
oh my... i CAN'T WAIT!!!
I love all your names too! They all sound fit for a Melton. =) By the way, had Parker not been a girl, Hudson was one of our top two boy names we were undecided between.
Are you feeling good these days?
