Haircut

I have not been a very good blogger lately. We made it back from Baltimore, and I'll post about that later. Then, my parents came in town for a few days, which was great, as usual. Our camera is still being fixed. Thankfully, we're borrowing my in-laws camera, so we're still able to take some pictures.

I had to blog about Luke's first professional haircut. It was getting a little out of control - he almost had wings on the sides of his ears, so we took him to a local children's haircut place. Our desire was to keep his cute little curls on the back of his hair, but the lady that cut his hair told us that she couldn't cut his hair and keep those. Looking back, we should have just left and let someone else do it, but we went ahead and decided to have her try her best to keep some of the curls. The curls are gone. :( Greg and I were sad for awhile, but he looks so stinkin' cute now, like a little toddler. Also, we can tell that the curls will most likely come back because it gets curly when it's wet.

Did he enjoy the exerience? Let the pictures speak for themselves.

Pre-Haircut Pictures:
He was a happy guy, and I was trying to get some "before" pics of his curls.

And then, he saw and heard the clippers. Ummm...it was horrible. I felt so cruel taking pictures when he was looking at me like, "Mommy, rescue me!"

Finally, he's finished. How traumatic! He sure looks handsome, though, and he scratches his ears a lot less because that hair isn't tickling them anymore.

Of course he looks cute...he'll always be cute. But please don't ever take him back to that mean lady again.
