My sister tagged me, so here we go...
10 Years Ago:
I was 17 and finishing up my senior year of high school. Wow...was that really 10 years ago? That seemed like such a blow-off year since I knew I was already going to A&M. I was babysitting quite a bit to earn money. I was planning on rooming with Scarlett at A&M that year, and we couldn't wait to be done with high school and down in College Station with our siblings. I was also pretty spoiled that year...my mom says it's because that was the ONLY year that I was home alone. I really loved hanging out with my parents at home, and we made frequent trips to Braums to get frozen yogurt, along with frequent trips with my mom to the Road Runner service station to get late-night cappucinos. That summer, I went on a couple of mission trips and went to a few camps. (Did I mention I was spoiled?) I feel like this really prepared me spiritually for college. Good memories, for sure.
Things on my To-Do list today:
Since the day is almost over, I this list is pretty short:
- Do my Bible Study
- Finish laundry
- Scrapbook
- Lay in Greg's lap
- Look at Luke sleep before I go to bed
- ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ
What would I do if I suddenly became a billionaire?
I would be so excited to have that money because Greg really has a passion for giving. I would give a large chunk to Pastor Emmy in Uganda to help with his orphanage. Our good friends, the Barret's are leaving this Thursday for a 2-week trip to encourage him. Read more at their blog. I would also give to support missionaries that spread the Truth all over the world. I would give my sister a new mattress and pay whatever it takes to get her jaw fixed so she wouldn't be in pain. I would give Greg the car of his dreams. I would help my dad get his new business started. I would buy my in-laws an RV. I would give money to Mother Frances Hospital here in Tyler, because they are raising money to start a NICU in the hospital, and I really have a heart for newborns. Finally, I know that Greg and I would start a children's home and house kids that need to be loved.
Three of my Bad Habits:
1. Touching my face when I talk. (Greg has pointed this out to me.)
2. Folding laundry, but never putting it up.
3. Falling asleep on the couch at night, which makes it really hard for Greg to pry me up to go to bed.
Five jobs I have had:
1. Camp counselor at Pine Cove
2. Office worker for the Texas Engineering Experiment Station at A&M
3. I used to set up every room at our huge church in high school, preparing each of them for weekly Bible Study classes. VERY time-consuming
4. Second grade teacher
5. Fifth grade language arts teacher
Five things people don't know about me:
1. I have a very long tongue. I can even put it inside of my nose if I want, which I don't.
2. I am crazy about kissing the side of Luke's neck. It's my favorite spot.
3. I love to bake, but am not as crazy about cooking.
4. I think all Mexican food restaurants taste the same.
5. Someone put a big hole and dent in my Tahoe bumper this weekend without leaving a note. Argh.
Okay, Hannah, Cynthia, Mandy and Melanie, you're it!

I remember when you were the only one home with mom and dad and I would come home for a weekend and you would have all these new clothes, you little spoiled thing... not really.
Thanks for the new mattress and for fixing my jaw if you become a billionaire. I really hope you win a billion dollars.
