We gave our little Luke to the Lord a couple of Sundays ago. Our church had baby dedication, which is only symbolic in its meaning, where we, our family, and our church committed to pray for Luke and guide his steps toward Jesus. Alissa's parents and sister even came from California to be a part of it. I hadn't thought much of it until we were getting ready to go up front with the other parents, and I started to get a little emotional. We had already given Luke to the Lord before he was born, but this was a date that we could specifically tell him about in his journey toward Christ. Afterwards, we had some friends and family over for lunch, which was a great chance to catch up. Unfortunately, Alissa's folks had to leave that afternoon, which is always hard. However, aunt Andrea got to stay for a couple more days and spend some time with the ever-growing Luke. It's great to be a part of a community of believers that cares so much for the little ones. We love him so much, and our hope for Luke is that he will be a lover of Jesus' Truth with all of his heart.
