Solids

Well, a new milestone has happened for Luke. He showed all the "ready" signs for solids. He can sit (with a little support), he watches everything we eat, he opens his mouth when a spoon comes near (or when anything comes near for that matter), and he started waking up in the middle of the night again. So, we started his rice cereal on Tuesday. Of course, half of it still ends up on his mouth and the bib, but he really caught on pretty quickly. You can tell from these pictures that he also enjoys grabbing the spoon!

As excited as I am for him to be starting new things, I feel that this time is going SO quickly. He's already almost doubled in size since he was born. I am praying that I can soak in every moment with him, because I know that in the blink of an eye, he won't even fit in my arms anymore. I already tear up at the thought of him leaving for kindergarten in 5 short years.
