Twas the Night Before Noah Came...

Our life was about to change in a big way through a tiny human. Little did we know how wonderful that little change would be!

I had to post all of these because they just show what really goes on in our crazy house. The boys were being especially uncooperative this evening!

Crazy for the Carnival

One of those little parking lot carnivals came to town, and the boys were fascinated with it. In fact, it almost made me cry seeing the wonder on their faces every time we passed it. So, we promised them that they could go as soon as Nana came to town. So, the night after she came, it was off to the carnival!

Just a sidenote, I personally think these carnivals are quite creepy...

Greg went with both of them down this super fast slide. I would so have done this if I weren't 9 months pregnant! Here he is with Luke:

Big Brother Day

In an attempt to start catching up on this blog...

My mom was able to come and stay with us for two weeks. One week before Noah was born, and one week after. The day before she came out, I got all sentimental thinking that this would be the last day of our "old normal": Alissa at home with just Luke and Jack. So, I tried to make it special and called it "Big Brother Day". We played, played, played. Then, we had a picnic at the park, and Greg met us there during his lunch. We had so much fun playing and enjoying our big brothers!

Halloween!

We started our Halloween by carving pumpkins a few days before. Luke was really into it. Jack, not so much.

Luke picked this pumpkin out by himself, so we let him use a Sharpie to decorate however he wanted. He loved that.

I love this. Luke was excited about his baby brother in the way!
Jack ended up playing in the yard.


Of course, we had to decorate cookies on Halloween.


Then, we headed out for our night of trick-or-treating. How cute is my little policeman and Lightning McQueen driver? Holding hands at that...

My 9-month preggo self stayed behind to pass out candy while Greg took the boys out. They had a blast.


Luke, of course, took charge and ran the show:
We aren't big fans of the scary decorations. So, this house freaked them out quite a bit...
...as you can tell by their expressions:
"Should we go up there, brother?"
The rest of the evening was spent on our driveway, playing, meeting neighbors and passing out candy. The boys were in their element...such people persons!
Luke sat at the edge of the driveway, passing out candy. This boy loves to be in charge.
He later dropped this pumpkin of candy on the ground. Some people passing by helped him pick all the candy up. Later, he told me that that was his favorite part of the night. Not getting candy, but the nice people helping him.
